As far as Monday's go, today was a not so bad.

No interruptions in the Metro or on the Bus.

 Got more items off my desk.

No one significantly  raised my blood pressure, or got added to my Shit-list.

I got home at t decent hour and had a relaxing evening.

Monday, you were a success.

So the Office Gods did not answer my prayers. Today was not a fun day. Today wasn't even an okay day. Today was a right shiite bucket of a day.

BUT...  it was still better than any Monday with Typhoid Mary.

I honestly could not tell you what I did today, although I didn't stop.  It was all a blur.

But I'm NOT complaining because I only have 8 1/2 business days left till we are on Vacation!  So I will just roll with the river, and whatever rapids I encounter.

As God is my witness, today was the best Monday (at the office) EVER!

I said on more than one occasion today that, "I could take a Month of Mondays like today",  And that's the gospel truth.

And it wasn't just because Typhoid Mary was not there. 

And it wasn't just because it was the Civic Holiday in Ontario and the phones were a little less buty.

Okay it was BOTH of those things...   but also the "boss" wasn't a total jackass.

Today, was a good day.

Not sure I'll make it to Friday Afternoon. Typhoid Mary is as virulent as ever.

I told the Boss today (in front of the cesspool of phlegmy coughs) that it\s a good thing Friday is her last day because the disruption is reaching a tipping point.

The person that sits at the desk next to her, opted to work at the Reception desk. She's lucky because she was the receptionist so she can claim having tasks to do, but between you, me, and the rest of the people in our department... we wish we were the Receptionist.

Two days.

Only two days.

Monday has conquered. 

It's time to celebrate the end of the day.  The least favourite day of the week! Hazaa! and Woot woot! 

Even small events are worth celebrating!

If you're familiar with the Poem about Counting Cows, you'll know that:

"Three Crows a Letter"  is the third line of the poem.

Well I received a Postcard in the mail today from the friend I recently re-connected with. The postcard was from Finland. The card was on a piece of pre-cut, black balsa wood that when you snapped out the pieces, you could put them together to form 3 crows.

I could NOT have been happier!  Receiving it on HER birthday was a little odd, but then I was already thinking of her today (and had planned on emailing her when I got home tonight - I don't know where she is at the moment... possibly still in Finland, or in Nova Scotia, back in the US or in Spain...  she does tend to travel about!)

Receiving mail in this day and age that is NOT a bill is rare and welcome.  When you can play with it and make crows, well...  simply awesome!

I can't say I love Mondays, but on those rare occasions when I don't have to get to work, Mondays are the BEST DAYS!!!

Today was one of those days. Even though we still have to leave the cottage AND drive through rush hour traffic; and that was all still better than going to work!

Speaking of rush hour, we drove 120 kms in a little over an hour, then once we hit the bridge to the island we traveled 20 kms in a little over an hour. That's just plain nuts!!!  But still, better than working on Monday.

Best Monday Ever!

(If you don't count Mondays where I'm not at work)

The Boss wasn't in. 

His Boss is on Vacation.
The Auditors arrived, but needed nothing from me.
My Co-Worker is off until Friday.

I GOT SO MUCH WORK DONE TODAY!!!

Even though I was doing the work of 3 people I was sill done 45 minutes early!

And the best part is that tomorrow should be the same thing!

If I danced, I'd be doing my happy dance, just about now.
